Are the AI features Free for Use?

While AI features are part of the Document 365 AI+&eSign subscription plans, we offer a 7-day free trial for new users to explore these functionalities.

AI Auto Redact Text

Availability 

• KDAN PDF Reader for Mac v3.17.0 and after 

File Requirements

• The file size should be less than 25MB.
• Text redaction is unavailable for encrypted or access-restricted files
• You can redact text on the images and scans

Usage

• An internet connection is necessary to access AI features.
• Redaction is limited to 50 pages per session. For larger files, select the pages you want to redact.
• Up to 100 pages/month

AI Analyst Chatbot

Availability 

• KDAN PDF Reader for Mac v3.18.0 and after 

File Requirements:

• Keep files under 25MB.
• AI Chatbot functionality isn't available for encrypted or access-restricted files.
• You can use AI Analyst Chatbots on images and scans that contain text.

Definition

• Conversation: each interaction initiated with an AI Analyst Chatbot constitutes one conversation. 
• Question-and-Answer: When a user asks a question and the AI Analyst gives an answer, that counts as one set of question-and-answer.  

Usage

1. AI features require an internet connection.
2. Allowance:
   • Subscribers: 50 pages. Up to 200 conversations per month with the AI Analyst Chatbot, each containing up to 200 sets of questions and answers.
   • Free users: 20 pages. Up to 10 conversations per month with the AI Analyst Chatbot, each containing up to 50 sets of questions and answers.
   • The allowance refills on the first day of each month (UTC+0)
3. Conversations automatically close after 24 hours of inactivity. To continue, restart the conversation again, but it will count towards your monthly usage.
4. The AI Analyst Chatbot can't be used simultaneously with text editing, page editing, or other features that operate in a separate window.

AI Data Extract

Availability 

• KDAN PDF Reader for Mac v3.19.0 and after 

File Requirements:

• Keep files under 25MB.
• This function isn't available for encrypted or access-restricted files.
• You can use AI Data Extract on images and scans that contain text.

Definition

• Data extract: Let AI detect and extract information within a PDF file, extract the information, and export it into a spreadsheet.
• Table extract: Extract the tables within the PDF and export them into one or more spreadsheet files.

Usage

1. AI features require an internet connection.
2. Data extract is most functional for handling PDF files with a similar layout
3. Upload fewer than 10 files per task and 50 pages per file. Total size should be under 25 MB
4. Due to the AI capacity limits, you might only be able to analyze fewer pages when handling documents with complex layouts, extensive text, or images
