The global pandemic has forced the world to learn to work remotely but the shift to a more mobile workplace is something that’s been brewing for a while now. Offices use various software tools, cloud systems, and company organization rules to keep everything in its place. When working remotely, you’re going to be sending a ton of files back and forth. PDF Reader provides three ways for you to transfer files without a hassle:
Merge Multiple Files into One PDF
Need to send across multiple documents to your co-workers as one PDF file? You are probably exchanging a lot of content created in different office formats while working from home. If you want to put all of your pages together to then share with your team as a single PDF, you can use the PDF merger.
- Launch PDF Reader and switch to the "Home" tab
- Choose "Merge PDFs" from the menu and then select 2 or more files
- You can rearrange the order and tap the "Merge" button
- The output file will be saved in the "Split & Merge" folder (See the detailed tutorials here)
Split a PDF into Separate Files
PDF documents are popular because they’re a reliable way to present and exchange documents. When a project is large enough that it needs to be condensed. Splitting files comes in handy when only certain sections need to be shared, or when a section is needed in multiple areas.
- Launch PDF Reader and switch to the "Home" tab
- Choose "Split Pages" from the menu and select 1 file that you want to split
- There are 3 methods for you to choose from: Split by pages, Split by files, Split by page range
- Choose one method and click "Start"
- The output file will be saved in the "Split & Merge" folder (See the detailed tutorials here)
Convert PDFs to Images
A high resolution PDF is an ideal format for printing, but it can be more difficult to send by email than a standard image file because of the file size. Converting PDFs to image files is an alternative way for reducing the file size. Though image files aren't editable like a regular PDF, this can be very useful to share with others if you only require a read-only version.
PDF Reader Windows version doesn't support PDF to Image conversion yet. You could share it to the iOS app to continue. For users with Document 365 subscriptions, you can access the full features of the iOS app without additional payment.
- Download and launch the PDF Reader iOS(iPhone & iPad) app
- Open a PDF and tap the "Kdan Cloud" button on the top menu bar
- Choose "Converter" from the menu
- Select one output format by swiping left or right and tap "Start"
- The output file will be saved in the "Converted" folder (See the detailed tutorials of file conversion here)
