PDF Reader provides 2 ways for you to add password protection to PDF files:
Encrypt PDF (to the current PDF)
1. Open a PDF in PDF Reader (Please note that PDF Reader will automatically create a new copy in the app when you open a PDF with PDF Reader)
2. Click the “Security” button on the toolbar and then choose “Encrypt” from the menu
3. Enter a password to encrypt the PDF with password protection
4. Then a new password-protected PDF will be saved in the “Encrypt & Decrypt” folder in file list
Encrypt PDF (through the file explorer)
1. Launch PDF Reader
2. Switch to the “Home” tab and click on the “Encrypt PDF” entrance
3. You can choose the file(s) from within the app or select files from the local folder
4. Then enter a password to encrypt the PDF(s)
5. The encrypted files will be saved in the “Encrypt & Decrypt” folder
