Why was my credit card declined?

There could be a few reasons your credit card was declined. These include:

  • Incorrect Credit Card Information: Incorrect credit card number, expiration date, or billing address.
  • Temporary Account Hold: A hold on your credit card (this can happen when a credit card company detects a transaction that doesn’t fit the pattern of your typical purchases. Anything outside your normal spending habits could be flagged as fraud and cause your credit card to be declined.)
  • Credit Card Restrictions: For example, you may not be able to process international payments via your credit card.
  • Exceeded Credit Limit: You’ve reached your credit limit.

As a first step, please attempt to re-enter your credit card information. If the issue remains unsolved, you should get in touch with your credit card company for further assistance.
