Service Changes to Creativity 365 and Related Apps

Service Changes to Creativity 365 and Related Apps

Thank you for your continued support of KDAN.

As part of an adjustment to our product strategy, effective September 21, 2026, KDAN will make changes to the availability and purchase options for the Creativity 365 cross-platform subscription plan, as well as the download options, maintenance, and updates of its related apps, including NoteLedge, Markup, Write-on Video, and Animation Desk.

If you are currently subscribed to Creativity 365 or are a paid user of any of these apps, your existing access and entitlements will remain unchanged at this time.

Please note: This announcement reflects our product and service plans as of the date of publication. Any future changes will be announced separately, and the latest announcement will apply.

Details of these changes and our recommendations are provided below.

1. What This Means for Existing Users

1.1 Existing Subscriptions and Automatic Renewals

If you currently have an active Creativity 365 subscription or a subscription to any of the affected apps, you can continue using it, and it will renew automatically based on your existing billing cycle. Your billing method and cycle will stay the same.

1.2 Permanent License (or known as One-Time Purchase)

If you previously purchased the permanent license, your existing license and feature entitlements will remain unchanged.

1.3 KDAN Account and Cloud Sync

Your KDAN ID, KDAN Cloud storage, and existing file synchronization features will continue to operate as usual and are not affected by these changes.

2. Changes to Creativity 365 and Related Apps

2.1 Changes to the Creativity 365 Subscription Plan

  • Creativity 365 is a cross-platform subscription service that includes Animation Desk, NoteLedge, Markup, and Write-on Video, each of which is also available as a standalone paid plan.
  • Starting September 21, 2026, new purchases of the Creativity 365 subscription plan and individual paid plans for NoteLedge, Markup, and Write-on Video will no longer be available through the KDAN Store website or respective app stores, while existing subscribers will continue to retain their current automatic renewal arrangements.

2.2 Removal from App Stores and End of Maintenance Updates

Starting September 21, 2026, the following apps will be removed from the respective app stores and will no longer receive ongoing maintenance or version updates. Existing users can continue to use apps that are already installed on their devices.

  • NoteLedge: Will be removed from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Microsoft Store.
  • Markup: Will be removed from the Apple App Store and browser extension stores. The Markup web service will also be discontinued.
  • Write-on Video: Will be removed from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Microsoft Store.

2.3 Products Not Included in the App Store Removal

Animation Desk is not included in this app store removal and will remain available for download and use under its existing paid plans.

However, its maintenance approach will change. KDAN will no longer proactively provide new feature development or routine version maintenance updates moving forward.

3. Important Notice: Data Backup and Device Changes

As these apps will no longer receive ongoing maintenance or version updates, future operating system updates may introduce compatibility risks. Please note the following recommendations:

3.1 Back Up Your Work

We recommend regularly exporting and backing up important projects, files, and documents from NoteLedge, Markup, Write-on Video, and Animation Desk to your device or another secure storage location. This can help reduce the risk of losing access to your files due to app maintenance changes, device changes, operating system upgrades, or compatibility issues.

3.2 Changing Devices or Re-downloading Apps

After NoteLedge, Markup, and Write-on Video are removed from app stores, new users will no longer be able to search for or download them. For existing users, availability for redownloading or reinstalling after a device change or reset is subject to app store policies, account download history, and device, and operating system compatibility.

4. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1. What do “removal from app stores” and “end of maintenance updates” mean? Will the products stop working?

No. Existing installations will continue to function normally, but KDAN will no longer actively maintain the affected apps.

  • Removal from app stores:
The apps will no longer be available for new downloads on the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Microsoft Store. Existing installations and subscription entitlements remain unchanged.
  • End of maintenance updates:
KDAN will no longer actively provide compatibility updates for future operating system versions or fixes for newly discovered issues.

Q2. Can I continue using and renewing my current subscription? If I cancel my subscription, can I subscribe again after it expires?

Yes. Your subscription remains active and available for renewal at this stage. However, re-subscribing after expiration depends on the policies of the applicable app store.

  • Current subscriptions and renewals:
Active subscriptions prior to the effective date will continue and auto-renew under your original billing and payment terms.
  • Re-subscribing after expiration:
If the app remains installed and a plan is still available for purchase, you may re-subscribe based on the options shown in the app. Availability may vary by platform, app version, and store policies.

Q3. I purchased the app through a permanent license. Will my entitlements change?

No. These changes will not affect your existing license or usage rights. However, once an app is removed from an app store, re-downloading or reinstalling it on another device may depend on the platform’s policies. Please refer to Q4.

Q4. Can I re-download or reinstall an app after switching devices?

It depends on the policies of the app stores, your account, previous download history, device, and compatibility. We recommend checking your download history and backing up important data before changing or resetting your device.

Q5. Will my KDAN ID, KDAN Cloud files, or synchronization features be affected?

No. Your KDAN ID, existing KDAN Cloud data, and synchronization features will continue to operate normally and are not affected by these changes.

However, to reduce the risk of losing access to your data due to app removal, device changes, operating system updates, or compatibility issues, we still recommend regularly backing up important files to your computer or another secure storage location.
