If the same subject is shot with different lenses, it will have a different meaning. You can try to use a phone to practice shooting the same picture with different lenses.

Close-Ups

Emphasize specific parts of the picture: highlight details, enhance emotional rendering and dramatic tension with close-up “shots.” Close-up shots usually give off strong emotions; the effect is obvious, and the method is simple. 

Camera Language – Medium Shot

The most common scenes in animation, medium shots, are roughly from above the characters’ calf to the mid-body range. They are often used in single-character performances, including upper-body movement or interactions between two or more characters.

Camera Language – Long Shot

This perspective is often used to explain the background time and space at the beginning of the story, or to emphasize a wide range of effects, such as explosions, smoke, light, and shadow.
