Hi there,
Optical character recognition (OCR) is a common method of digitizing printed texts so that they can be edited and searched. PDF Reader’s OCR tool enables you to extract text from images and scans of any physical books and documents. In this month, we’re going teach you how to perform OCR onto your scanned images.
Apply OCR to the Scan
- For a better OCR performance, turn the image into grayscale using the filter tool before applying OCR.
- Tap the “OCR” button to start recognition.
- The OCR tool will automatically detect the language of the content. Or you can choose the target language by tapping “Languages” on the top right corner.
Proofread the OCR Result
- You can edit the result by adding or removing text from the output content.
- Tap “Store” and choose “TXT” to save the edited content as a text file.
- Then you can use the revised version for further editing.
Manage OCR Results
- In the scanner tab, you will see the latest OCR result on the top of the screen.
- Tap the “OCR Results” button to browse the history of applying OCR.
