Find the layers on the right side of the editing interface.  Scroll down if you didn’t see the “Background” layer.

Tap the background layer, select “Replace Background” to insert a new background. If you wish to clear the background, please select  "Clear Frame". 

Currently, the app supports a static background. When you insert an image in the background layer, the image will appear through the whole animation.
