By adding shapes tp PDFs, it helps you to annotate documents, highlights passages, and draw attention to an object or a section inside the PDF.
1. Open a PDF in PDF Reader and go to the page where you want to add shapes
2. You will find a menu bar on top of the screen. Click the "Annotation" button to reveal the annotation tools.
3. Click the "Shape" tool from the toolbar.
4. You can set the color (Border and Fill), opacity, thickness, and the shape (Line, Arrow, Square and Circle) from the Properties pane on the right of the screen.
5. Then drag an area on the page and the preset shape will be immediately added to the spot you just tapped.
6. You can adjust the size and position of the shape by clicking on the markup. (Note: You'll need to turn off the tool first by clicking on the annotation tool again.)
7. To delete it, right-click on the markup to remove it from the PDF.
8. Furthermore, you can select the "Rectangle" shape if you want to hide information from a PDF (such as the answers to a textbook when preparing for an exam). Then set the border and fill color to "White" or "Black" to temporarily hide key information
9. Click on the text that you want to cover, and a rectangle will appear covering the text.
