Submission Requirement

• Participants must use Animation Desk (Android, iOS, Windows)in the creation of their videos.
  
• Submission should be between the length of 5-10 seconds long and exported in MP4 format.
• Please name your entries and add descriptions to your submissions.
• Upload your final video entry on Instagram in public with the hashtag#Animeme, and DM the post link to us.

• Submission： Oct. 11th - 23:59 Nov. 10th, 2022 (EST)
• Voting： Nov. 14th - 23:59 Nov. 20th, 2022 (EST)
• Winner Announcement： Nov. 21st, 2022 (EST) on Animation Desk Instagram

Competition Categories and Prizes

The competition winners will fall into three categories:

• 3 Meme Geniuses will be awarded $200 USD each
• 3 Audience Choice picks will be awarded $100 USD each
• 3 Staff Picks will be awarded $50 USD each

Winners are personally accountable for handling any fees or taxes. We will refer to the most updated currency exchange rate if the payment is not made in US dollars.

Judging Criteria

1. For the Meme Genius category, we will be looking for:

• Creativity and thinking outside the box: how creative you, the artist, are in reinterpreting and recreating the meme
• Animation Technique: animation technique and skills; for example, the use of the 12 animation principles, time control, and smoothness. 
• Aesthetics: the visual arts; for example, knowledge and skill in character design, colors, and drawing skills.

2. The Audience Choice picks will be a popularity vote. We will host a poll on Instagram when the contest is closed; submissions that acquire the highest votes will be the winner. 

3. For the Staff Pick, we will invite our very own Kdan Mobile Development Team to cast the vote. Submissions with the highest number of votes will win this category.

Other Rulers and Information

• Kdan Mobile reserves the right to disqualify submissions that include unauthorized content, offensive content, indecent content, discriminatory content, or submissions in invalid formats.
• Kdan Mobile reserves the right to cancel the competition. For example, if the number of submissions does not meet the minimum requirement decided by Kdan Mobile or if other circumstances arise out of its control
• Winners might be featured on Animation Desk social media posts, newsletters, or blogs. Winners will be notified before the content release. 
• By submitting an entry, participants automatically agree and certify that they have read and agreed to all the rules and requirements governing this particular event. By submitting videos, participants also grant Animation Desk permission to use their creative work in any future marketing events, advertisement campaigns, or promotions held by Animation Desk.
• Please be responsible for the content used in your work. Avoid infringing intellectual property and unauthorized content. If there is any violation, we may require you to return the relevant bonus you have received.
• Kdan Mobile reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. If we do this we will publish the amended competition rules and/or specific competition rules on the relevant competition page.
