How to save and mark translations in PDFs?

 

After you translate a paragraph, click Add to Annotations to save it to the left-side Annotations panel. You can review it later and return to the source text without translating again.

Note: To access the upgraded AI Translation experience, please update to KDAN PDF for Windows (UWP v2.5.0 or later).

Save a translation as an annotation

  1. Open a PDF and select a paragraph.
  2. Click Translate This to translate the selected text.
  3. In Translator, review the result under Source Text and Translate to.
  4. Click Add to Annotations.

After you add it as an annotation the button changes to Added.

  • The translation is saved in Annotations under Translation.
  • You can find it later in Annotations and jump back to the source text.

View saved translations

View from Annotations

  1. Open Annotations.
  2. Find the saved item under Translation.
  3. Click it to return to the source text.

View from the document

  • Click the translation mark in the document to highlight the source text and open the related item in Annotations.

Copy a saved translation

  1. Open Annotations.
  2. Under Translation, click Copy to copy the saved content.

Delete a saved translation

Deleting a translation removes it permanently.

  1. Open Annotations and find the item under Translation.
  2. Click Delete.

Hide translations in the document

If you want a cleaner reading view, you can hide translation marks.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Hide translations for the document.
